| Reproduction of late 1940's GB 5.4cc diesel of sideport design. Designed by Gordon Burford. The reproduction was done a couple of years back by David Owen and Gordon Both Australians. Gordon is the guy behind the Glow Chief and Taipan glow and diesel engines of years past. Easy to start and likes big props in the 12/6 to 14/6 range. Jack Hiner* Viewed: 990 times.

These old vintage diesels tend to have vibration problems due to very long stroke and insufficient crankshaft counter balance. The stoke is so long on this 2.5cc diesel that the connecting rod is about the same length as a PAW .60 diesel connecting rod! A common fix is just to unbalance the prop and mount in the correct position to help with the counter balance. I choose instead to have a motor mount made up that captured the front of the engine just aft of the prop to reduce the vibration level. Gets the job done. Jack Hiner* Viewed: 751 times.

| Another shot of the Oliver Jaguar set up on a Playboy for the Old Time A Texaco event. You are allowed a 14cc (1/2 ounce) fuel tank that has to be in the open with a fuel cut off for safety reasons. You can use glow, spark ignition or diesel engines in this event. Jack* Viewed: 756 times.
